To study the flow field around a circular bridge pier with an upstream flow diversion structure (FDS), Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) technique was employed. Velocity components at a vicinity of a pier with an upstream FDS under different submergence ratio were measured. The measurements were made with a single pier case, and a single pier with the FDS at the upstream with H/y = 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, and >1. The streamwise (u) and vertical (w) velocity components were determined from analysis of the PIV images collected during the individual experiments. Further analyses were carried out by a developed code in MATLAB and the results were stored in txt files. The outcomes include: Normalised Streamwise Velocity Component (u/V) Normalised Vertical Velocity Component (w/V) Normalised Turbulence Intensity Components (TIu/V and TIw/V) Normalised Turbulent Kinetic Energy (TKE/V2) Normalised Reynolds Shear Stress (u^' w^' ) / V^2
