Dataverse provides provenance facilities on dataset level and file level. A Dataverse installation accepts provenance information in two forms: a Provenance File or a free-text Provenance Description.
Specification of the service can be found at: https://guides.dataverse.org/en/latest/user/dataset-management.html#dataset-versions

The Dataverse Data Access API provides programmatic download access to the files stored in a Dataverse installation. More advanced features of the Access API include format-specific transformations (thumbnail generation/resizing for images; converting tabular data into alternative file formats) and access to the data-level metadata that describes the contents of the tabular files.

Beacon is an open-source data lake query engine designed to make large collections of scientific data files directly, easily, and quickly queryable. It focuses primarily on environmental and observational datasets such as oceanographic and climate data but is extendible and proven to work well for other domains as well, as long as the input data follows any standard-like way of describing its contents.

The I-ADOPT Framework acts as a semantic broker and is based on an ontology in order to facilitate interoperability between existing variable description models. It offers core atomic components and relations between them that can be applied to define machine-interpretable variable descriptions that reuse FAIR terminology concepts.

The scope of the DANS Data Stations Policy (“the Policy”) is limited to datasets for which DANS performs ingestion, curation, archiving, long-term preservation, and dissemination.
Such datasets are stored and managed in the repository services referred to as a ‘DANS Data Station’, which combines a public facing, domain specific repository based on Dataverse software where the
datasets are managed and made accessible, and a service referred to as ‘the Vault’ where datasets are archived for long-term preservation.
The Policy does not consider archiving and preservation of other materials, such as DANS’s web pages, internal and external documents, and digital objects in any other services that DANS provides.
The Policy governs the obligations, responsibilities, and expectations of the role players.

RO-Crate is a community effort to establish a lightweight approach to packaging research data with their metadata. It is based on schema.org annotations in JSON-LD. An RO-Crate is a structured archive of all the items that contributed to the research outcome, including their identifiers, provenance, relations and annotations.

This tool can be used to assess FAIR Research Objects. It is integrated in the Rohub platform. FAIROs service measures the FAIRness of Research Objects, by calculating the FAIRness of individual aggregated resources, including the Research Object itself, and then aggregating those results to calculate the over FAIR score. The service has been recently deployed, and it is currently being integrated in ROHub. The service functionality will be available via the ROHub portal and python library in a similar way as the checklist service functionalities, i.e., in the portal the overall score will be displayed in the overview tab of the Research Object, and there will be a dedicated tab to show details of the FAIRness evaluation.

FIP Check is a structured assessment tool designed to evaluate FAIR Implementation Profiles (FIPs) by examining the individual FAIR Enabling Resources (FERs) they contain. It uses FAIR Principle-aligned questions set to score each FER, giving a detailed view of how specific FERs contribute to overall FAIRness of FIP.

FAIRsharing is a FAIR-supporting resource that provides an informative and educational registry on data standards, databases, repositories and policy, alongside search and visualization tools and services that interoperate with other FAIR-enabling resources. FAIRsharing guides consumers to discover, select and use standards, databases, repositories and policy with confidence, and producers to make their resources more discoverable, more widely adopted and cited. Each record in FAIRsharing is curated in collaboration with the maintainers of the resource themselves, ensuring that the metadata in the FAIRsharing registry is accurate and timely. Every record is manually reviewed at least once a year. Records can be collated into collections, based on a project, society, organisation or other community.

In RSpace, a global ID is a unique identifier assigned to every object in the system. These IDs serve as permanent references that remain consistent throughout an object's lifecycle, regardless of whether it is moved, renamed, or otherwise modified. In contrast to globally unique PIDs, such as DOIs, IGSNs, ePIC, etc., which are provided as globally managed services, the persistence of the RSpace global IDs relies on the management of the individual RSpace instance. As long as an RSpace instance is maintained and accessible, the global IDs remain resolvable.
RSpaceGID | RSpace Global Identifier
The PubChem Compound identifier (CID) Persistence Policy describs how the PubChem CIDs are made persistent, meaning they do not change over time. Once a CID is assigned to a structure, it remains associated with that structure indefinitely within the PubChem database.

The goal of Unidata's Thematic Real-time Environmental Distributed Data Services (THREDDS) is to provide students, educators and researchers with coherent access to a large collection of real-time and archived datasets from a variety of environmental data sources at a number of distributed server sites. The THREDDS Data Server (TDS) is a web server that provides metadata and data access for scientific datasets, using a variety of remote data access protocols.
The THREDDS Data Server (TDS) provides catalog, metadata, and data access services for scientific data. Every TDS publishes THREDDS catalogs that advertise the datasets and services it makes available. THREDDS catalogs are XML documents that list datasets and the data access services available for the datasets. Catalogs may contain metadata to document details about the datasets. TDS configuration files provide the TDS with information about which datasets and data collections are available and what services are provided for the datasets. The available remote data access protocols include OPeNDAP, OGC WCS, OGC WMS, and HTTP. The ncISO service allows THREDDS catalogs to be translated into ISO metadata records.
The TDS also supports several dataset collection services including some sophisticated dataset aggregation capabilities. This allows the TDS to aggregate a collection of datasets into a single virtual dataset, greatly simplifying user access to that data collection.
The TDS is open source and runs inside the open source Tomcat Servlet container.
